So finally I have an iPhone, this is not a new iPhone but an old hand me down iPhone. Now I am wondering what all the fuss was about. Yes, the iPhone 4 is small, easy to slip in a pocket but for me, easy to lose.
I like using Mecky's iPhone as my travel phone; my main mobile phone is an Android. Since I am familiar with the Android operating system, this is my preferred everyday mobile phone. I must admit, I do like the size of the iPhone 4; since my eyes have been lasered, I am able to read the screen now.
What irks me is only software that runs on the device is Apple specific so I am unable to upload all the music loaded in MP3 format. However, what I like about Apple products is the battery life, they certainly out-perform my Samsung products. At this point, Mecky's iPhone 4 remains my travel phone as I just purchase a sim card at every destination; I am enjoying my first foray into Apple products thanks to Mecky.

Our first trip to Boracay
Reflecting back on my first trip with Mecky, she had lived in the Philippines for all her 36 years and never been to the idyllic island of Boracay. Even more unusual is that she lived on the island of Panay, almost the closest island to Boracay.
That was all about to change, we had flights booked along with a reservation to La Carmela de Boracay at Station 2. The hotel was pretty good, I recall white sand walked through everywhere, the hotel is going strong and expanding. We had a great time on the beach of Boracay, it was my first trip too and it wasn’t hard to work out that White Beach is the best beach in South East Asia. There was plenty to do during the day, get back to the hotel for a shower before heading out for the evening - great times.

A passport with no stamps
When I first met Mecky back in 2007, I was intrigued to find she had a very fresh passport with no stamps in it. I told her it was my responsibility to change that passport, we needed to put some entries in it and we did.

We had trips to Bali, Penang, Langkawi, Singapore, Hong Kong and even a day in Thailand. This blog is dedicated to putting some stamps in Mecky's passport along with our travels around the Philippines.
